Beauty and the Geek series 2 premieres on the WB on Thursday. One of the contestants, Rubik's cubing genius Tyson, was a summer student at NRAO-Socorro last year!
I think Brian and I caught the end of the last episode of the first show... The whole thing seemed a little stupid to me. They were just answering questions about each other (what's her name? where did he go to school?) and at the end the team with the most right won some money. Are all the beauties girls and the geeks guys? (isn't that a bit sexist?)
So... randomly I happen to be sitting in Stata tonight, and what do I see on the wall behind me? An LSC event for "Beauty and the Geek 2"! It says, "Watch the season premiere! Meet the Star!" One of the poeple is an MIT person, right? I'm guessing that's the "star" that LSC got? Anyway, it was tonight. Did anyone go?
So Tyson just got booted off the show last night... sad! He seemed nice. Unfortunately, the really annoying MIT guy is still in the running though.
(just to clarify, I have only seen half of two episodes... the last half of the one last night and the first half of the first one, I think. So maybe the MIT guy isn't that bad and I just happen to catch him at bad points)
