On astro-ph

Great news: The efficiency of extrasolar planet searches is relatively insensitive to the observing schedule used. And that author looks familiar from somewhere....

Ok, mostly for jocave... check out my latest posting to astro-ph, well at least the abstract. I hope some of you get a laugh from the apparent juxtaposition of postings.

But seriously, this is very very good news for planet searches... It offer the possibility of making planet searches able to detect planets about a factor of 2 less massive than they would otherwise. While this paper focuses on current radial velocity searches, there's an obvious application ot the SIM planet searches as well.
