New RPG

I just got a new computer game, Shady O'Grady's Rising Star. It's an RPG, but instead of creating a band with a wizard, a fighter, an elf, etc., you have a literal band with a drummer, a bass player, etc. The graphics are not the best, but it's really fun to play. There is a demo available for download, so if you like RPGs, you might want to look at it. It's made by a company called Gilligames; I actually hadn't heard of it until they interviewed the developer on MTV.

It's a cute concept for a game. I wonder if they are trying to get more people to play RPGs by not making it seem like an rpg or something...

Well, I do like RPGs, but I still haven't finished Baldur's Gate! I'll get around to finishing it someday though.

Part of the reason is that, if I happen to have a little free time when I could play a computer game, I would have to figure out where I've put the CD. So it doesn't seem worth the effort.

But in the last month I've learned about a little something called "Alcohol 52%". This makes it much easier to play that sort of computer game when I just have a few minutes.

You'll be happy to know that you don't have to put in the CD to play; it installs everything on your hard drive. On mine it's occupying 400MB (I'm sure some of that is saved games). Also, you can play it in a window.

Delphine, blogger is completely fubared. Apparently, some percentage of old blogger accounts have been forced to switch to the new blogger. I assume the owner of Math Hut (Vincent?) switched to the new blogger, which means Math Hut is also moved over. So Math Hut is inaccessible to those of us still on the old blogger and we have to wait for them to offer us the great privilege of switching. When that blessed day comes, we will see some blurb on the "dashboard" of our old dilapidated blogger account and a link called "learn more," which when clicked, will lead us to the new hotness that is the new blogger. I mean, how many of lines of code would it take to check if someone is part of a team blog that's already moved over and offer everyone in the team the option to switch over. The really dumb part is even if you already have a Google account, you can't just tell them that you have a blogger account you want to merge. This is freakin' Google, for crying out loud, are they already overrun by bozos?

Really? I didn't have any problems getting the new blogger account. I just had to go to the main blogger page, log in (with my blogger account), and then tell it about my google account. I assumed it did that for everybody? Did you try going to the main blogger page and clicking on the old bloggy link (I can't remember what it's called)?

I wish it were not true, but it is. Not everybody is given the option to tell them about his/her Google account so they can switch over.

yea I have a google account but I can't get them to merge that with my old blogger account so I can't actually make any new post since I guess I don't have the permission to with the new account and they don't let you use the old account... sigh...
