I find that I rarely check the Math Hut blog any more because it hardly has any traffic. On the other hand, I check my livejournal friends page pretty often because it's active. I know the same is true of at least one other Math Hutter.
Is there any interest in trying to reconstitute in some form on LJ? The easiest way would be for people to post in their own accounts and friend each other. Alternatively, we could start a Math Hut "community" over on that site.
Vincent has been blogging here only recently. And I have been blogging here for many years. (Oh gah, please don't mock me too badly for my recent post! I have many interesting, and picture-filled posts, but not all of them are recent -- if you go to my profile and click on "memories", I have links to some of my favorites posts ... for instance all my travel posts are under "Vojagxoj", which is Esperanto for "vojages".) (Also, many MIT-ers and Randoms have LJs, so if you look at my friends list, and vfish's friend's list, by clicking on our "profile", you can see a list of our "friends" and maybe by clicking around you'll see some blogs of people you know.)
Also, I "friend-lock" a lot of posts, so if you want to read all my posts, you'll need a LJ account that I can add you as a friend. (One should be able to get a free account, but it will have some ads on your profile page -- not intrusive, though. There used to be free accounts without ads, that paying members could give to friends, but that was discontinued just this week. So, for instance, my account is free, but I don't have. But I have the limitations of a free account; the only one that I actually know of is a limit of 6 icons :)

It seems like activity dropped off after the change from blogger accounts to google accounts.
Two problems... being busy and being advised not to post about things you're not an expert on (at least pre-tenure).
Hello Math Hut! I posted photos from the reunion on the Birthday Wiki.
Enjoy!
Anonymous: That's one of the great things about LJ. You can friends-lock some or all of your posts so that the evil tenure committee can't see them!
astebb: Welcome to virtual Math Hut!
I agree with anonymous about the whole tenure thing...
Where's this LJ thing?
