Oscars, King Pong
So, what did you guys think of John Stewart's Oscars gig?
Here's a new video game by the company that made the Grand Theft Auto series. Combine this new Table Tennis Game and GnuChess and you've got King Pong!

It may be good, but will it be Take-Out Weight Curling good? :-)
Wow, an 8.7 rating from users! That must be some seriously good curling action. Either that or it has a copy of this calendar included. :)
well about the oscar's, I liked Jon Stewart. I thought he was pretty funny ;)- and it was really the only reason I had my dvr record the oscar's anyway (Brian and I watched while fast forwarding the commercials and the acceptance blah-blahs! it goes a lot faster that way...)
You know how they always have the technology oscars separately and then have a clip of it for like 30 seconds? Why can't they do the same with things like sound editing and makeup? Does anyone really care about all that stuff? And with so many movies utterly dependent on special effects, why isn't technology at least as important as, say, costume design? The whole show should not be longer than the longest movie nominated that year.
I thought Jon Stewart was the best host of the last 3 or 4 years. But it was like a single episode of the Daily Show stretched out to 3.5 hours and all the correspondents were replaced by unfunny movie people.
I thought it was in poor taste not to recap all the technology Oscars. Maybe nobody cares, but for the people who win, it may be their only chance to receive some public recognition. I'm not saying that they should dwell on it and show speeches or anything. Even just text scrolling with the names of the winners of each category would be sufficient. Why shouldn't the techies have a brief moment of national exposure too?
